RDP not working and not sure why
Hi all, I've got a Windows 10 host with a Linux Mint Debian Edition guest. I'm trying to get RDP working, so I can run the guest as headless. I first tried with the default port of 3389 and I kept getting something about "your computer could not connect to another console session". After googling the error, I found a post on this forum from some years ago, and that user fixed things by changing the port to 3390. So, I tried that and it seemed to connect. At least, I got the message from the MS RDP viewer about trusting this computer. I clicked yes, and now I just get an error saying "This computer can't connect to the remote computer". I have the guest running fully (i.e., non-headless) and I've even signed into the guest in case that made a difference. I'm trying to connect using localhost:3390. Also, my network setup is NAT, and I'm connected to the home WiFi on the host. As a result, when I run ipconfig on the host, I get different IP addresses for both the "Ethernet adapter VirtualBox Host-Only Network" and the "Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi". The wirelss adapter shows I'm connected to my ISP with the default gateway being that of my ISP's router/gateway. The VirtualBox adapter doesn't have a gateway, though it does have an IPv4 and a link-local IPv6 address. Any suggestions on what I could try?

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. Zip the VM's .vbox file (not the .vbox-prev file), and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions if the folder that opens does not show a .vbox file.)
