Black screen with white underscore, stuck on boot

Hi, just installed oracle vm and tried installing ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 with 16g ram, newest version of oracle vm, storage given about 100gb etc.
As the name of the thread suggests, I get stuck on a black bootup screen with white underscore flashing for a while. Here is the log from the vm. If someone could help me out, it would be amazing. Thanks.

You have Hyper-v enabled. See the last post in
FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.

So I've gone to that post, typed in the command and executed a cold boot as suggested. Went into control panel to make sure that windows hypervisor platform was unchecked.
When I ran the VM again, deleted everything and reinstalled on Oracle vm. I still got stuck on the same thing. And when I went to go check on the log, it said
NEM: WHvCapabilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work...
again. Not sure what to do. Here is the second log.
