Ubuntu Blinking cursor when booting up Ubuntu VM

Post by Virt02 »

I get blinking cursor after selecting Ubuntu from GRUB screen. I tried multiple versions of ubuntu mainly 16.04

I tried the following:
- Maxed the video memory to 128MB
- Tried changing Graphics Controller to VMSVGA, VBoxVGA, VBoxSVGA
- Increased the RAM to 8GB and 16GB

Nothing is working. I really would appreciate if someone can look at the log file and figure out the root cause.
