Hello, everyone!
I managed to set up my Windows 98 VM from the tutorial from Nevets on Youtube(can't post link).
Basically I am trying to make a game work(BMW Cyber Race). At one point I had an error that said it needed DirectX 6 and so I did set it up. I made it work for 32 bits. Thing is that now it just crashes to desktop directly after being run. I read in the readme file that they provided files of installation for Voodoo & Banshee & Rush. I installed them all thinking at least one could fix my issue but am not sure I am doing something right here. Does anyone here know what kind of fix I would need to solve this graphics issue. I can provide more details about the game as it says it is unstable using Direct3D. If any more details are needed, I'll gladly provide. I am very new to how graphics used to work back in win98 and that readme file is confusing especially since I am in a VM...

We can't speak to others' tutorials. Please go through ours, viewtopic.php?f=28&t=9918. Let us know if you have any trouble.
Be aware that games do not always work well in a VM.
Also, don't confuse the VM's 'hardware' with the physical hardware. None of the physical hardware appears in the VM except for the CPU itself.

the game is from 1999 so I shouldn't have much issues running it. I see that the tutorial you posted about is almost the same from what I watched.
