I have an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS VM instance that I run on my Windows 10 Enterprise host. The Virtual Box vm is where I have some development tools (Java, Kotlin, IntelliJ) and where I access my personal email accounts and other personal business via Firefox. The host (Windows) machine is where I do all the 'official' stuff like standup meetings in MS Teams.
If I forget to shut down the VM and join a meeting on the host MS Teams, the VM stops responding. It won't shut down from the Virtual Box Manager either. I have to use Task Manager to kill the vm (I can leave the manager running) and start it back up after the meeting.

Any way to keep the MS Teams process from locking up my vm?

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set. Or, "use Task Manager to kill the VM".

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log and the hardening log next to it, zip them, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
