Fatal Error when starting a VM

It doesn't work at all!
OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Error Details:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 8.1 x64.
The virtual machine 'Windows 8.1 x64' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1).
Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

I'm not sure what to do for Linux hosts with a Virtualbox exit code. Try checking that you followed the Linux host prerequisites before installing Virtualbox.
https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch02. ... linux-host (If not, uninstall Virtualbox, install the prerequisites then reinstall Virtualbox.)

Can you make a more simplified version please? The article is weird

Actually I probably won't, I'm a Windows guy and it would be a serious case of the blind leading the blind. Just follow me and see what pits we'd fall into.
Start a new topic asking how to implement that link's suggestions and a volunteer Linux guru might help walk you through it.
