Install Virtualbox 2.x on DSL Linux host?

Was thinking about installing DSL on my Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4(AMD-V Support) AMD X2 2Ghz with 4GB Ram and a nice little 900GB RAID 5. And install just VirtualBox to allow for switching between Microsoft OS's and Various Linux Distros to keep the host environment with a small foot print to allow more resources for virtualbox machines.

Can this be done? Are there and install/setup notes I can read on doing this.

What is the best/smallest linux host that will allow for virtualbox 2.x to be installed? And recomendations?

I dont think DSL is a good choice.

You can try Suse, Fedora, *Buntu.

Its your choice by installation to choose minimal packages, so choose distribution you know best.

See my comments in another thread on this forum on installing VBox on Puppy Linux which also apply to DSL.

You can try Ubuntu JeOS. It's very small, not even a GUI installed after you have it installed. You can then manually install everything you need.
