Can virtualbox capture and use PCI cards in the host?

I'm wondering if my guest OS (WinXP 32-bit) can capture/use a PCI card (Natl. Inst. 6052E data acquisition card) installed in the host (WinXP 64-bit) computer? The problem is that Natl. Iinst. supports Win XP 32-bit, but not the 64-bit version. The Natl. Inst. software installs in the guest OS fine, but does not see the PCI card in the host computer. A quick check of the guest OS Device Manager suggests that the guest OS does see the card, it's listed under the PCI bus as the 'VirtualBox Device', and apparently has National Instruments drivers.

Thanks in advance for suggestions or comments.
