Error relaunching VirtualBox VM process: 5

Post by BillBest »

I have just installed VirtualBox for the first time on a Windows 10 PC. As soon as I try to run in order to install the OS (Windows XP) I get : Virtualbox - Error in supR3HardenedWinReSpawn. Error relaunching VirtualBox VM process: 5 Command line:
'60eaff78-4bdd-042d02e720669728efd737-superlib-3rdchild --comment "XP for G400 training" --startvm c003feee-961d-4b2b-84e9-b3437e815892 --no- startvm-errorsgbox "==sup-hardening-log=C:auser [etc]"' (rc=-104
Please try reinstalling Virtualbox
Where: supR3HardenedWinReSpawn what: 5
VERR_INVALID_NAME (-104) - Invalid (malformed) file/path name.

This was installed as adimistratior and run as administrator.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times without any success. Help anyone please.

your PC has a big hardening problem, probably interference from some other security software. Look at Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues and viewtopic.php?f=6&t=88305 for some ideas.
