Windows guest unresponsive and reboots depending on kernel

I'm using a Windows 10 VM in VirtualBox 6.1.16 in Ubuntu 18.04. When running kernel 4.15.x everything is rock stable, but using 5.4.x branch, VM hangs or becomes unresponsive in varying time, from seconds to minutes, hanging or rebooting. I've tried disabling 3D acceleration, changing CPU or RAM assignment and disabling sound or network. Nothing made a difference. If VM gets past login screen, applications fail with every sort of problems: Firefox can't manage to open a tab, Windows Update service fails as seen in event manager... Seems random.

Please, find attached last logs. Thanks in advance.

Some weird stuff going on, for certain.

There's 8 boots from the VM's hard disk. Guest Additions toggles 8 times, once per boot, between 6.1.16 matching the Virtualbox version and 6.0.10.

There were 5 BSODs too.

Curious name for the VM's disk:
Windows10Desarrollo-disk002.vdi
The end of the name implies an imported VM rather than a fresh install. Is that so?

It would be curious if you downloaded a fresh new hash-confirmed ISO from Microsoft.com and made a new VM, see if that VM has the same problems.

Thanks for your reply.

That version mismatch is probably because I tried upgrading Guest Additions between reboots, in order to see if it caused any difference.

You're right. This VM is imported from another computer, but was done about two years ago, in Virtualbox 5.x. I've other Windows VM, so I'll try with it changing kernels and report back. If issue happens with other VM I'll make a new one from scratch as you suggested.

OK, that explains the toggling. FWIW, with 3D acceleration enabled, I would run Guest Additions matching the version of Virtualbox installed. Also 6.0.x was when the new video cards came out and there were by default a lot of bugs to fix.

Also please try a fresh new one.
