Re: Guest installed, starts, but hangs
Hyper-v present. See last post in FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.00:00:02.329466 HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: AMD-V is not available
00:00:02.360212 NEM: WHvCapabilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work...
Re: Guest installed, starts, but hangs
thank you for your response.
I followed all those steps, hyper-v has never been enabled, virtualization is enabled on Bios.
I've added the registry key, ran the command line as admin, still on the same boat.

Re: Guest installed, starts, but hangs
If you still see that message in the log then Hyper-v is still enabled, and the FAQ has not been followed.
Re: Guest installed, starts, but hangs
Last question for you, having WSL enabled with a guest machine wouldn't stop VBox from working correctly, right?mpack wrote:If you still see that message in the log then Hyper-v is still enabled, and the FAQ has not been followed.
EDIT: that was it. If you're running WSL for any guest OS, VBox doesn't seem to work. Probably should be added to the set of instructions you provided.
Thank you for all your help.

Re: Guest installed, starts, but hangs
Actually the original WSL should not be a problem. WSL2 is a different matter. it certainly will cause you problems with VirtualBox.
