How do you Eject and insert a cd-rom/floppy in the start up faze.
I'm trying to make a windows 95 virtual machine (sorry I'm new at this) And I have to run a fix because windows 95 was never meant to run on faster systems but It says it has to be inserted into the computer in the beginning of start up. I figured out how to put it into a cd rom drive but it either starts up/runs and then I can't get rid of it. Or if I stick it in the secondary IDE it doesn't work at all. So how do I take cds in or out of the machine while its starting up. Thank you

You can use the VM window's Devices menu, Optical Drives submenu. There's commands to choose a disk image, pick an already-used disk image, or pop the existing disk image out. It appears you can also switch disk images while the VM is paused.

I did that but If I put the fix in the primary IDE then it comes up first and Windows never loads. If I load Windows and then try to bring the fix up it never appears. Window loads, I insert the disk and nothing happens.scottgus1 wrote:You can use the VM window's Devices menu, Optical Drives submenu. This topic should only be about switching CDs.
Since you are attempting to fix the Windows 95 protection error, please go back to your other topic viewtopic.php?f=6&t=101251 and I'll post some stuff from the fix's instructions there.
