This is pretty similar to what is happening to me but in my case the host machice is a W10 pro and guest is Ubuntu 20.04
Randomically the VM "closes"/"disapear" and then it is tagged as aborted in virtualbox manager.
I have other VMs working fine and this VM used to work fine as well.
I'm supposing it could be related to Webcam integration because it is the "new" or "different" thing I have been using these last days. But it is just a thought. Need to explore a bit more. Anyway, I don't remember to happen exactly when I'm actually using the camera.
I looked in the logs but I didn't manage to find a concrete clue.
This is annoying! I appreciate if someone has any suggestion.

Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
This log shows an abrupt end to the VM operation, and the ;ast thing mentioned is the USB Webcam:
It seems the "showvminfo" upload is for a different VM? "LinuxMint-base-19.03" hosted on a Linux host?
Disregarding the "showvminfo" upload, it does appear that the Ubuntu VM crashed when you tried the webcam. Did you use the webcam passthrough feature, or a regular USB filter? If you tried one, try the other.
The VM was running for 3 hours before this happened, indicating an otherwise stable VM.03:04:26.972880 VUSB: Attached 'Webcam' to port 2 on RootHub#1 (FullSpeed)

Hi Scott,
thanks for the reply.
Yes, this machine used to be stable.
I think I did use the passthrough feature (devices->Webcams->My USB logitech webcam). Using the camera by using USB filter didn't work (black screen webcam issue)
attached the right showvminfo file!

Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
Your VM has no USB filters, so it looks like you were using the pass-through feature.
If regular USB filters did not work, I am not certain what else to try. We'll have to wait for someone else who has webcam experience to look into this.

Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
I sometimes like when it is quiet, but I'm not so sure if it's a good idea to disable audio in the VM settings when trying to use a webcam.
