Is it possible to create Raid10 on Windows Server 2019 in VirtualBox?

I can only create raid 1,0,5 but I cannot create raid 0 with 2 raid 1.
is there an option to simulate an external raid controller for virtual box? thanks.

Why would you need VirtualBox to simulate anything (other than hard drives)? RAID is a software strategy, so just install the appropriate software in the guest.

Virtualbox does not have any raid controllers. Your VM's OS has to provide software raid using the drives you can make for the VM.

Check your VM OS's instructions and help channels to see how to set up 4 or more drives in raid 10. You'd also have to connect 4 drive files to the VM's disk controller.

If your VM's OS is not programmed to do raid 10 then you won't be able to get raid 10 in a Virtualbox VM. (This applies to any raid #.)

Does anybody make hardware RAID controllers? The ones I'm familiar with (e.g. I own a Synology NAS), are effectively just PCs running some kind of barebones Linux... and a software RAID stack, offering a shared folder to a LAN.

Some companies produce so many hardware RAID controllers that they even have to sell them. (SCNR ;))

Seriously, take a look at server hardware (e.g. Dell PowerEdge R440), where hardware RAID controllers are ubiquitous. Of course, you can also buy low budget servers (below 1k€) with software RAID, and consumer grade NAS devices are among them. Well-known manufacturers of hardware RAID controllers are Intel, IBM, HP, DELL, LSI Logic, to name just a few.

Hmm, ok. I wasn't thinking about server PCs. I've never paid much attention to servers, too far away from my core activity (embedded development).

I've got Areca ARC-1212 hardware RAID controller in my workstation - as far as my computer is concerned, it's just a SCSI card that has a huge hard drive connected. You can usually recognise hardware RAID controllers by their driver size - it'll be tiny, since all of the logic is running in the firmware, and the driver just interfaces with whatever virtual drive(s) the firmware presents (this is unlike something like Intel's RST, where RAID is implemented in the driver).
