How can Guest share multiple Host folders under one drive letter?
Host: Windows 10
Guest: Windows 7
----------------------
Using Devices -> Shared Folders -> Shared Folders Settings, I add 3 host folders:
(Folder1) C:\Temp
(Folder2) F:\Drivers\HP
(Folder3) D:\Setup
I check both Auto Mount and Make Permanent for each.
---------------------
After a reboot, I see, in the Guest, that (Folder1) was assigned drive letter F:. (Folder2) assigned driver letter G:, (Folder3) assigned drive letter H:.
This is not what I want.
---------------------
I swear, but can't prove it, that before VirtualBox assigned a single drive letter, Z:.
When I double-clicked Z, I saw the 3 folders within. One drive letter for 3 folders.
Am I misremembering. I suppose it is possible that I saw this in VmWare or Hyper-V and not in VIrtualBox.

Re: How can Guest share multiple Host folders under one drive letter?
On Windows VMs the shared folders come in looking like a network server's shared folders:
\\vboxsvr\Temp
\\vboxsvr\HP
\\vboxsvr\Setup
Web-searching "combine multiple shared folders under one drive letter" shows Microsoft websites that say this cannot be done on Windows OS's.
Linux OS's have mount points instead of drive letters for shared folders. I don't know if multiple shared folders can be in one mount point.
It is highly likely that if any method exists to do this it will have to be done manually inside the VM rather than through Virtualbox's auto-mount feature.

Re: How can Guest share multiple Host folders under one drive letter?
Thank you.
I’m pretty sure I also saw a checkbox for “Mount point”.
Now I’m thinking I I saw these on XP guests, not Windows 7 guests.
Thanks again.
