XEN Opensuse 11

Post by fermig »

Dear All,

When booting XEN Opensuse 11 I cannot access the X server. It seems modules have not been loaded, but the log does not confirm it.
What should I do?
Thanks

Xen as VirtualBox Guest?

Or what do you mean?

At boot I choose OpenSuse-Xen. PC boots, but instead of opening a graphic screen it stays in the text modality and when I launch startx I get the answer "no graphic server found". The content of the part about graphic server in the boot script is the same as the one that opens the graphic server when I do not boot in xen-mode.

Sorry, but here is not the right forum for this.

Please look for a forum special for Suse.

Xen is not made to display a GUI. It's a pure Hypervisor made for running virtual machines. You don't work on a Xen kernel, but on the VMs inside Xen.

The domain 0 on Xen works on the real hardware. I have a xen test machine in DOM 0 with Nvidia Driver without Problems.

But thats not a topic in this form :)
