VM fails to start with GUI - only headless possible (VBox 6.1 Suse Leap 15.2)

Hello board,
I can no longer start existing VM guests. The startup fails with the error:

There are no other guest specific logs generated (at least I did not found any).
The behavior is the same for newly created VMs (I removed any existing vm, and created the "Crashtest" from scratch with the GUI - fails to start on first invocation).

When started in headless mode, all VMs are running fine.

I cannot exactly trace, when this problem occurred for the first time, as the VMs are only run on demand and not regularly.
Changes that happened to the system between "good" and "not good" are:
  • * OpenSuse system patches, including kernel patches
    * OpenSuse provided Virtualbox patches
    * exchange of graphic card and change from FHD to 4K (UHD) resolution
Any other applications on the system are running fine.

I already tried a complete de- and reinstallation of Virtualbox, which did not change anything.

Please provide a VM log file (i.e. not VBoxSVC.log). Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

I should say however, that it doesn't seem that you are using VirtualBox. The version "6.1.16_SUSE" indicates someone's self build from open sources. Including unknown changes and unknown installer. If you want support on the VirtualBox forums then you need to purge whatever that is and install an official release of VirtualBox, i.e. downloaded from here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads.

Please provide a VM log file (i.e. not VBoxSVC.log)
the VM logs are never generated - the VM clients fails to spin up. The folder <VM>/Logs remains empty.
Note: on successful starts (headless) the log file happens to be generated there as expected.
If you want support on the VirtualBox forums then you need to purge whatever that is and install an official release of VirtualBox, i.e. downloaded from here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads.
I see. From the list of supported OS, I conclude, that there is no support for OpenSuse Leap 15.2.
Is this planned anytime in the future?
