I am trying to install CentOS 8.3.2011 on a VM using VirtualBox 6.1.16 r140961 on a Windows 10 host. Hyper-V should be turned off, according to the output of bcdedit:
Now, when I start the VM, it comes up, and the Grub boot loader displays my options. I choose "Install CentOS Linux 8", and hit enter. Now I'd expect the installation kernel to launch, but that doesn't happen. Instead, the screen goes all blank, and the machine freezes. The log file ends withhypervisorlaunchtype Off
