I keep getting

shutdown[1]: Failed to finalize file systems, ignoring. INFO: task kworker/0:3:357 block for more than 604 seconds.

INFO: task XOrg:1419 blocked for more than 604 seconds. Tainted: P 0 5.8.0-29-generic #31-Ubuntu “echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs” disables this message.

When trying to restart Ubuntu on virtual box, does anyone know how to fix this?

Both are the most recent versions, I tried

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install build-essential gcc make perl dkms

In the terminal but it didn’t help.

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
