Guru Meditation, Windows 10 VM

Post by UmairAmir »

I have a question related to guru meditation error during the window 10 installation process. Here I also attach my log file so check and brief me in detail.

I moved this to Windows Hosts.

It appears you are trying to install Windows 10 inside an Oracle environment, not a Windows environment:
00:00:04.533133 Guest OS type: 'Oracle_64'
Also too much RAM was set for the VM:
00:00:04.367441 Host RAM: 8175MB (7.9GB) total, 3969MB (3.8GB) available
00:00:04.838660 RamSize <integer> = 0x0000000120b00000 (4 843 372 544, 4 619 MB, 4.5 GB)
Install the Extension Pack (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads) so you can get USB 3 in the VM, which Windows 10 likes.

Start a new VM using Windows 10 64-bit as the type. Let the VM use its default settings, except for 2 processors and max video RAM. (Using 4 processors can slow down the VM. Windows 10 loves 2 processors in its stock installation.)

When a new VM is made, a box "Create Virtual Machine pups up. Somehow the type and version got set to 'Linux' and 'Oracle 64 bit', instead of 'Microsoft Windows' and 'Windows 10 64 bit'.

Start a new VM, call it Windows 10. 'Microsoft Windows' and 'Windows 10 64 bit' will automatically set up. Use this new VM to make your virtual machine.
