Hello Im trying to follow a basic udacity course as an introduction to linux and ive told virtualbox where my iso is.
I am trying to install Centos 8
If you see the screenshot I have attached it suggests that I need to download the iso and put it on some kind of web based storage?
Does anyone have a suggestion please?
Thanks
Sas

What happens it you select Red Hat CDN? That seems the obvious choice if you have the CD mounted in the vm.

Re: Trying to install Centos 8 for a Udacity beginner course
Which CentOS iso are you trying use?
1. CentOS-8.1.1911-x86_64-boot.iso (around 7GB) , or
2. CentOS-8.1.1911-x86_64-dvd1.iso (around 9.5 GB)
1. is only for a network based installation, i.e. it needs the PC to have access to a physical Network, which provides access to 'local' network software repositories for additional software/updates. That could explain what you are seeing.
2. is for a standard a Desktop Installation and only requires 'normal' internet access.
