virtualbox fails to open a session for the virtual machine

I am attempting to open a virtual machine but I get an error that it is inaccessible.
How can I resolve this? Thanks!
Here is the copy of the error:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine OS161-Bodhi.
Could not open the medium 'C:\Users\David\Desktop\OS161-Bodhi\OS161-Bodhi.vmdk'.
VD: error VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND opening image file 'C:\Users\David\Desktop\OS161-Bodhi\OS161-Bodhi.vmdk' (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).
