Hello,

I have been using VB 5.2.44 to run Windows XP SP3. In case I download the updated version VB 6.1.16, will I still be able to use Win XP SP3? I've read somewhere that 32-bit hosts are not supported in this version.

Thanks in advance

Barbara

That is true, 32bit hosts are no longer supported. Do you really care? You can still run 32bit GUESTs.

The last time we spoke (in 2018), when you also provided a log, your host was already Windows 10 64bit. Has your PC de-evolved since then for some reason?

Haha! Quite right mpack! Many thanks for your reply and the feedback.
It's pretty obvious I'm not familiar with this subject.

So, I'll proceed with the update then.

Be aware that 6.1.anything has removed 3D acceleration support for any Windows Vista and earlier. So if you are using 3D acceleration in XP, you'll have to stay with 6.0.x maximum.
