slow Boot since VirtualBox update 6.0 to 6.1

Hello,

I recently updated VirtualBox on my Xubuntu 18.04 machine from 6.0.24 to 6.1.16 and now have some performance issues when booting a Linux client (Debian 10). While with VBox 6.0.24 the client starts within 20 seconds, with 6.1.16 it takes about a minute.

If I downgrade VBox to 6.0 everything is fine. why is that?

I would like to add a video showing the problem side by side, but that is not allowed. So here are the uploaded videos on the first filehoster I found ... Sorry for that:
VBox 6.0.24: ufile.io/klojsbzr
VBox 6.1.16: ufile.io/1injua7k

Nobody experienced boot issues between vbox 6.0 and 6.1? I really doubt that.

What could possibly the issue here?

I don't see "xubuntu" on the list of supported hosts, and "some performance issues" doesn't really invite investigation anyway. Perhaps if you were more specific?

In answer to your question, I'm sure some people had some boot issues after moving to 6.1. That would be par for the course. I'm sure if they released a new version with no changes at all, somebody would say something had broken. Again, if you asked about a specific issue then your goal might be clearer, especially if accompanied by the requisite zipped logs.

Hello, I can clearly see Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as a supported host system (https://docs.oracle.com/de/virtualizati ... pport.html). I'm sorry, but I can't be more specific that a Debian client takes three times longer to start after upgrading from VBox 6.0.24 to 6.1.16. Otherwise, I could probably do something about it. I really mean the start time from pressing the start button in the VBox manager to the loaded kernel. You can see this in the two short clips I added in the first post. The logs show nothing in this time.
