So, I have found the bug (15092, an example image is on 15479). Basically, going into Seamless Mode, the Guest goes full screen with no titlebar and the mini menu at the bottom, but you see the whole Guest Desktop. Many have complained, but I want this. This works really well in my case since COVID and now we are working from home full time.
Reasons why this works for me:
- 1. I can see the Desktop icons on the Guest. Due to work security restrictions, using the Desktop helps. I have to transfer files to and from my Host and Guest constantly.
2. I've setup my RDP windows to fit just right. Due to the requirements of the software we use, I can't reduce the height of the VM Desktop. Having the titlebar and menubar gone, works perfectly.
3. I still have access to the menu without impeding my work with the mini menu bar at the bottom.
4. Fullscreen Mode doesn't work since I still need access to my Host Desktop Start Menu and Host Taskbar. I use applications on both Desktops.
5. In Seamless Mode where you do not see the whole Guest Desktop, the Guest Background bars around the Guest applications are an eye sore.
6. In Scaled Mode, the titlebar is still there, see point 2.
