Hi, first the good: VBox 2.0.2 ROCKS!. I´m ditching VMware for this :D

PROBLEMS: Host: Vista SP1 x64, guest: OpenSolaris 2008.05: I cant get audio: Device Driver Utility shows an Intel AC97 present but with NO drivers.
APIC: DDU also shows no drivers for APIC.

I´m a long time windows user, couple of months Linux user and just starting to dable in solaris aka = newbie.

In my Vbox I have installed: Windows XP x32, Linux Mint 5.0 x32 and x64, Ubuntu x64 8.04, and Linux 64 Studio v2.1 x64. All off them work OK, with sound, Apic and all the stuff.

Solaris & Vbox are both from SUN, how come they have trouble working together :?: ? (could not avoid that one guys hehe)

PLEASE HELP SOMEBODY?

I installed the last "pre" of opensolaris, downloaded yesterday a 2008.11 pre. The Intel Corporation 82801AA AC97 Audio Controller Driver is UNAVAILABLE.

What!!!! OpenSolaris and VBox are both of SUN. Should work together BETTER.

AnyBody has any ideas? Please some help here?

You can only use Uppercase letters and "!!!!!!!!", if you are paying for this great product.

Anyway: Install www.opensound.com

I see this has been an issue for a while.

I was just wondering if there were any plans to add the correct driver to VBox, or should I just keep on trying to get Sun Solaris to?

I really don't want to load a driver that I must upgrade every 6 months just to have sound that is choppy and distorted.
