My Ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine is not booting from my Windows 10 Home host machine. I am running VirtualBox 6.1.12.
I am not sure what caused it as I went to sleep with it working fine and woke up in the morning with it not. I noticed when I first tried to open the VM up in the morning that the boot procedure was taking longer than normal but I wasn't really paying attention as I was focused on my other computer at the time.
Now when I try to start the VM it opens the GRUB terminal where I get the following message:
I have done some research on this issue however I get a "Filesystem is unknown" message on all partitions using the "ls" command. I also tried to use the Boot-Repair-Disk tool to fix this which found nothing to fix on the virtual system (I can provide the log if need be).error: unknown filesystem.
Entering rescue mode...
grub rescue>
Does anyone know what could be the issue here? Is this a VirtualBox problem or am I looking in the wrong place?
I can provide more information if need be. Appreciate any help!
Cheers,
Jason
