I have been facing similar issues. I am using Windows 10 Insider build. Tried a few solutions including removing the VM, and VirtualBox altogether and re-installing everything from scratch. I am trying to start an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS VM using Virtual Box. Any pointers to solve the issue will be of great help.

I have the same issue. If you have Windows subsystem for Linux active, it activates also the Virtual Machine Platform. If you disable Virtual Machine Platform, it will break WSL but Virtual box will work.

I'm going to lock this. Posting a "me too" for a well known problem that's already being addressed AND has known workarounds isn't really useful IMO.

VERR_NEM_VM_CREATE_FAILED: What do I do?.
