W7 VB does not start after moving the host [SOLVED]

Host: Linux Mint 20 Cinamon
Guest: W7 Pro 32 bit
Virtual Box Version 6.1.10_Ubuntu r138449
Extension Pack: VM Virtual Box Extension Pack 6.1.16r140961
VNC Extension 6.1.10r138449

This VB runs fine in Linux Mint 17.3 KDE host.

I zipped all the files of this box and moved it on the new host.

The same time I move also a VB with Windows XP in the same way to the same new host. The Windows XP machine runs fine.

The W7 VB starts and stops with the following error message.

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine W7_32bit Pro_OS.

Failed to load R0 module /usr/lib/virtualbox/ExtensionPacks/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack/linux.amd64/VBoxEhciR0.r0: SUP_IOCTL_LDR_OPEN failed (VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER).

Failed to load ring-0 module 'VBoxEhciR0.r0' for device 'usb-ehci' (VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER).

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

Extension Pack version must match the Virtualbox version. Downgrade EP or upgrade VB.

Though this is not part of the immediate problem, it is something to consider: You're running Ubuntu's fork:

Technically, the forum doesn't support forks, only Virtualbox from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

How do I downgrade the EP?

Just installing the matching one?

If I first have to remove the current EP, how do I have to do this?

EP can be uninstalled and installed in the main Virtualbox window, File menu, Preferences, Extensions. You might have to run Virtualbox via sudo to get permissions.

I used Synaptic Package Manager to uninstall only the application as such. Then installed the latest version (61.1.16), clicked the VBs (XP and W7) and both startetd running.

Now my next challenge is a W10 VB.
