Windows NetWork Trouble

Hi everyone, i need some help. im a newbie so please try to understand me :)

I recently install Virtualbox 2 in a windows xp as host, so after that i create a WIndows XP on my virtualbox but i cant connect this windows xp virtual on my local network, and i cant connected to the internet too...

I have a proxy (Checkpoint) and i use private ips....so anybody can help me ???

You need to set the proxy when using NAT networking. Once you've done that, it should work.
If it doesn't, you might want to try Host Interface Networking with a Bridge. With that, the VM becomes part of the network and other machines can connect to the VM. See the manual on how to set up a bridge. Be aware that if you use a wireless interface to connect to the network, a bridge won't work. Wifi and bridges are not compatible. You have to use a wired (ethernet) connection.
