I had gotten VB running on this new machine that is running windows 10 Pro on an HP Elitedesk. Then this morning I kept getting error when running VB. I tried reinstalling and a lot of things suggested.
On initial install it was one of HP's security programs that was hanging it up. I see now that it is called HP Wolf Security. Both Threat containment and Malware Prevention is disabled.
Some times when I would uninstall and reinstall I would get the guest machine window to show up but with black screen. Guest is a Win XP.
Now I am getting this error: Error relaunching VirtualBox VM process:5
Command line: '60eaff78-4bdd-042d-2e72-669728efd737-suplib-3rdchild --comment "Maximo WinXp" --startvm 72e35b45-c4fc-4417-ba42-b7273933f718 --no-startvm-errormsgbox "--sup-hardening-log={{ location of logs }} (rc=-104)
Please try reinstalling VirtualBox.
where: supR3HardenedWinReSpawn what: 5 VERR_INVALID_NAME (-104) - Invalid (malformed) file/path name.
Then I get the failed to open a session for virtual machine stating it was terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1).
Result code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {85632C68-b5bb-4316ba900-5eb28d3413df}
Can anyone help me out at this? I've used virtualbox for years and haven't had this much trouble.

You're still having trouble with HP ProtectTools. Often disabling this nanny-ware doesn't fix the problem, an uninstall is the only way.
Re: Windows 10 Error relaunching VirtualBox VM process 5
That seemed to do the trick.
Had to uninstall several parts of HP Sure ... to remove it all.
Followed that with an uninstall and reinstall and it worked.
Thanks scottgus1
