Win 10 VM shows only black for the main screen

I have a Win 10 VM under VB 6.1.14 r140239 (Qt5.12.
on Xubuntu 20.04.1.
Before I upgraded my host from 18.04 to 20.04, my Win10 VM was showing normal colors on the screen, whether small window or full screen (which works). Since I upgraded the host and my VB to 6.1.14, none of the screen appearances are normal - they're all black.
Did something change in VB that might cause this? Am I using the wrong video driver? The Win10 Display is a VboxSVGA (see my other post about screen blacking for the others).
