Hello everyone,
This error has been driving me crazy. I have de-installed and re-installed countless times so IMO it is not corrupted files, but I don't know what it is. I have installed with "Run as administrator" and done likewise for running VB. Earlier versions of VB were working fine on this machine so I think the BIOS virtualization settings are ok.

This error has been a historical thorn in the side here in the forums, doesn't seem to have a reported solution. Running the installer as Admin is a suggested solution, also doublecheck that nothing using Hyper-V is enabled.
