black screen when starting Debian VM

Post by BeeGee »

I've read through several "black screen Debian on startup" Post.
I followed the instruction in this post forums virtualbox -org =95442
I started by recreating a new vm, taking the defaults, upped the cpu=2, mem=2048, videoMem=256 and reinstalled the
iso "2020-02-12-rpd-x86-buster"

I choose " run with persistence" I can get a desktop with all the icons and access to the OS and applications.

As always any and all assistance is greatly appreciated,

2. Deleted the "virtual box" director which has all the files that are created when a VM is created and an os is installed.

3. Success on next VM build and installation of the Pi Debian OS iso.

- I found in my folder where all the files for the VM's reside, the 3 attempts to
