The devs are going to need the dll that is causing the problem. Please follow this procedure:

1. Find and zip C:\Windows\System32\nvd3dumx.dll

2. Upload the zip file to a file-sharing site. (The forum's Upload Attachment will not allow the file even when zipped.)

3. PM me the upload site link. (DON'T post the link here in the open forum.) My PM link is on the right side of the forum on any of my posts.

I'll pass the file to the devs.

It's only 'unsafe' as such for the devs who download it, not for you that uploads it. You won't be downloading it back. The devs just need to analyze it to see why their hashing checks aren't working. They're not going to edit it and send it back.

Soccy, the devs got back on that Nvidia driver file issue:
The DLL is signed, but with an incomplete certificate chain. The root cert "Microsoft Digital Media Authority 2005" is elusive. It's not in the trusted root store of Windows. Must be baked somehow into the OS, but such trickery (and the fact that the root cert cannot be downloaded from Microsoft) will make the fixing rather hard.
So this may be fixable, but the dev that knows how to do it is swamped with a big list. In other words, this may take some time to fix. More recent Nvidia drivers have been seen working with Virtualbox version 6.1.16. So you might be stuck if you can't upgrade that driver, which means running with no 3D acceleration in the guests. Or get a more up-to-date video card.
