One idea I have, Google's sources could be wrong.Soccy wrote:any ideas?
But that might not be the kind of idea you might have had in mind...
The log, a good citation, shows:
All good.00:00:06.610556 VirtualBox VM 6.1.15 r140899 win.amd64 (Oct 13 2020 14:28:30) release log
00:00:06.895555 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack (Version: 6.1.15 r140899; VRDE Module: VBoxVRDP)
00:01:33.361872 VMMDev: Guest Additions information report: Version 6.1.15 r140877 '6.1.15'
This error seems to still finger the Nvidia driver problem while 3D is enabled. However, the error is different than it has been.00:00:07.719008 [/Devices/vga/0/Config/] (level 4)
00:00:07.719009 3DEnabled <integer> = 0x0000000000000001 (1)
00:00:10.555116 supR3HardenedErrorV: supR3HardenedScreenImage/LdrLoadDll: rc=VERR_CR_PKCS7_KEY_USAGE_MISMATCH fImage=1 fProtect=0x0 fAccess=0x0 \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\nvd3dumx.dll: WinVerifyTrust failed
Theoretically the Nvidia problem was supposed to be fixed in 6.1.15, maybe the Nvidia drivers need to be updated too?
Re: using linux guest display issues

Re: using linux guest display issues
Try the newest Virtualbox release 6.1.16, along with Extension Pack and Guest Additions. There were additional hardening code fixes inserted.
Try the guest again with 3D enabled, and post a log file.
If this does not fix the Nvidia driver problem, you'll have to run without 3D enabled, while the devs continue plugging away at it.

Re: using linux guest display issues
Are you sure you put up the correct log? That one still shows 6.1.15.

Re: using linux guest display issues
Guest Additions is still 6.1.15, but the Nvidia driver error is still there. The driver error shows before the GAs load, so I doubt 6.1.16 GAs would fix the problem. It would still be safest to update them and try one more time.
But it is a different error than the normal error we've seen for a month or so. The devs have been told, so for now run without 3D acceleration, and we'll await further test builds.

Re: using linux guest display issues
keeping an eye on the forum is probably the best way. I don't think test builds get highlighted in the Update box, only regular releases.

Not to be a pest, but could you please doublecheck? The date is 2016? Earlier you reported,
Just want to get the devs pointed the right direction.Soccy wrote:i am on best drivers i can for my gpu
