Hi all!
I encounter sudden Guru Meditation using a VM of Windows 7 in my Ubuntu 18.04.5 machine.
I am using Virtualbox Version 6.1.14 r140239.
The error occurs about 1 minute after booting the guest OS.
The only thing I remember I did before this error occured was that I updated virtualbox to the latest version.
I don't really understand the logfiles, could you please help me in finding the error?
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards
Philipp

Re: Sudden Guru Meditation on Ubuntu 18.04 with Windows 7 Guest
Hi all!
I updated virtualbox to the latest version 6.1.16 now but I still run into GURU_MEDITATION.
Unfortunately I cannot understand what is going on according to the logfiles.
Does someone of you have an Idea what I can do so I can use this Windows Guest again?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Philipp

The log shows a VERR_PAGE_TABLE_NOT_PRESENT error, and the guest type is 32-bit. Did you install a 64-bit OS?

Hi scottgus1!
It is a 32bit VM running on a 64 bit host.
It worked in this constellation very well untill it suddenly stopped working. This is no new VM, it is already several years old.
I also did not change any settings in VirtualBox as far as I can remember...
Thanks,
Philipp
