Problems when adding USB sticks

If I plug in a local USB stick, I only get a blue screen when I connect it.
I have tried two sticks. Either I can't get it on the virtual machine or I get a blue screen when I connect it.

Go through USB basics and troubleshooting. If steps 1 through 7 cannot get your device working, please provide the troubleshooting command outputs in step 8, as text in
