hello all,

I sorry but I past my last 3 days to found a solution without any success.

I'm a student and for a C projet we need to use a virtualbox with a HD gived by the prof.

it seem that I'm the only one with this issue, so I assume that the HD files is ok.

I install 6.1.14 virtual box, create a virtual machine for linux ubunto 32, select the HDrive file and lauch the virtualbox.

I have a selection sceen to choose to boot on ubuntu, or advanced option etc.
I choose Ubuntu, I can see some lines and nothing else.

the last line is : /dev/sda1: clean, XXXX/XXXX files, XXX/XXX blocs.

with my researche it seem to a graphic issue, I try a lot of different option but noting work.
The box is blocked ont this screen, I don't have any cmd console.

Please any one can help me?

Start the guest from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the guest from within the guest OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the guest with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Hyper-V is not interfering on the Windows host, that's good. No video driver problems. Only thing I can recommend is to max out the video RAM.

A performance recommendation, also: you have 8 physical cores in the host, you can afford to give a second processor to the guest.

Great! Have to admit the video RAM was a shot in the dark.

Glad you're up and running!
