VirtualBox Aborts Unexpectedly

Post by wildstringdom »

I have a situation where I have several VMs that show "inaccessible" and several boxes come up with ids for the VDIs saying they are not there, when clicking on the first VM that has inaccessible, VB totally shuts down. version 6.1.14, anyone know what is happening? Or what I can provide to begin to know what is happening?

Thank you !!!!

This is probably the cause of the "inaccessible" warnings. Did you happen to notice whether all the guests showing "inaccessible" were also missing drives?

You will have to hunt up where Virtualbox thinks these files should be and see if a folder was renamed or moved. In the main Virtualbox window, File menu, Virtual Media Manager, select the missing disk, the "location" textbox shows where the disk is expected to be. Look for a pattern, then track 'em down.
