hi guys I hope you can help me with a small problem i am having with virtualbox 3.0
I am running virtualbox with Mac OS X leopard as my host OS and both windows Vista and windows XP as guest OSes. The problem is that the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M on my early 2009 imac isnt being recognized by the guest OSes. I have been using the default settings for virtualbox except for the memory settings(1024mb) the vmemory settings(128mb) and 3dacceleration which is enabled.
I wouldnt think that those settings would interfere with my graphics card. However after I do the bootcamp installation it still shows me no graphics card...
I hope someone can help me...

Re: nvidia graphics not recognized in guest OS
VirtualBox uses a virtual graphics adapter. The guest will not see your nvidia adapter.
Also I do not know for sure due to the fact I do not have a MAC, but from what I have read it does not appear that running bootcamp with Virtualbox is possible. Of course you should search this out yourself by typing MAC bootcamp site:forums.virtualbox.org in Google.com

Re: nvidia graphics not recognized in guest OS
wow thanks for the quick response.
so does this mean that by just selecting 3d acceleration in virtualbox that it will just use my graphics adapter through virtualbox without installing any drivers?

Re: nvidia graphics not recognized in guest OS
It will use some of the capabilities such as OpenGL but this is all experimental and kind of flaky at time. Type OpenGL site:forums.virtualbox.org in google.com where you can read what others are saying.

U had any luck about this Sham?? I'm having the same problem with mi mid2009 MacBook, I even tried to get the drivers from nvidia's web page but the installer says that it could not find any hardware matching the driver's list or something like that.

Did you read this thread? Or the VirtualBox FAQ for that matter?wytchkraft wrote:U had any luck about this Sham??
