Not if you are using NAT and using a VPN client that only supports PPTP. It is explained in section 6.4.3 of the users manual

Not out of the box, you can create it using a combination of Host only/Bridged setup and a software OS/VM solution.

This is very true, but for most (99%) of the users I have seen this would be an unachievable task given their lack of knowledge.
That and for some reason no one wants to read the users guide.

There is little to no configuration needed if you change to Bridged. Select it in the VBox GUI and try it.
