I have the full version of Windows 98 but only the upgrade to XP. I've installed 98, and it appears to be working fine, but when I try to run the XP install from the CD, I get an alert that says, "Setup cannot find a previous version of Windows installed on your computer."
Well it's there and it's working fine, so I tried running the XP install from an image file and putting the 98 disk in the CD drive and it then tells me, "Setup could not read the CD you inserted, or the CD is not a valid Windows CD."
Both disks are valid, and I just used the Windows 98 disk to install into VirtualDisk.
What next?
Upgrading from Windows 98 to XP

Okay, wait, before I get skewered... I realized I have to toggle which item is considered a CD (image or CD drive) in order for it to know where to look. Never mind!
