Dual Monitor for Linux Guest with Windows Host

Post by TomJode »

Hello there. I am using VirtualBox to run Ubuntu 8.10. The host machine is Windows XP SP2. With the recent addition of 3D Acceleration VirtualBox almost completely serves my needs. The only issue I have remaining is I cannot utilize both of my monitors within VirtualBox. What I want to be able to do is stretch the VB window across both monitors, and have the guest OS recognize that there is now 2 monitors available, or at least think of it as one wide monitor. Is this possible to do, or should I file a feature request?

Dual display is already available through VRDP. Check the manual for it.

Having read the manual on using multiple monitors, it seems it is only available for Windows guests. Next step is to see if anyone has put in a feature request for multi-monitor support for Linux guests. Has anyone found a workaround?
