Hello.
I'm using Windows Vista Business as a guest on a self-compiled recent SVN-snapshot under Linux (AMD64) and I've installed the windows guest additions from the 1.3.8 release.
After the first reboot, everything seemed to work fine, mouse pointer integration worked, the tray icon was shown in the Windows taskbar and automatic guest resize worked. But since the second Windows restart, I do not get a tray icon any more and automatic guest resize does not work. However, mouse pointer integration still works and there is still a process calles "VBoxService.exe" running.
I was once able to restore full guest additions functionality by reinstalling the guest additions but again only for one session.
Is it just a bad idea to use the guest additions from a different VirtualBox version? Or could it be a bug in the SVN-snapshot which I use? Unfortunately, using a self-compiled SVN version seems to be the only chance of running VirtualBox on a AMD64 host Linux system by now.

Vista Business Success
I have a working Vista Business on 1.3.8. Is there some functionality in the SVN release that you need? If not, use the official stable release.
