I installed Windows 2003 x64 last night as a guest. It is running fine, but when I try to launch another VM (any Windows OS), I get this error:
"An active VM already uses Intel VT-x hardware acceleration. It is not allowed to simultaneously use software virtualization. (VERR_ACESS_DENIED). Unknown error creating VM (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED). Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005), Component: Console, Interface: IConsole {e3c6d4a1-a935-47ca-b16d-f9e9c496e53e|"
Host: Mac OSX
Guest that is running: Windows 2003 x64
Guest that I attempted to Launch: Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3
Does anyone know if there is a way around this? I'd really like to have both OS' running.
Problems with x64 guest(s) - specifically Win2k3
If You have Vt-x/AMD-V activated for at least one already running guest which is mandatory for 64 Bit operating systems then You have to activate the Vt-x/AMD-V Option for all other guest You want to start as well where it does not matter whether these guests are 32 or 64 Bit systems.
