502 Bad Gateway errors

Post by granada29 »

The forums are mostly unusable. This does not reflect well on Oracle. This has been occurring for the last couple of weeks.

Vacation season... got to this today (many other fires to fight currently) and found no other way the insane DDoS (could also be just every AI shop scraping the forums in the most stupid way from many thousands of IPs, not reusing sessions in any shape or form) than to block by user agent. Chrome versions 142 to 145 are now unable to get to the forums. This immediately reduced the request count by 97% (no typo!) and the DB overload which caused the 502 errors was resolving itself. DB statement latency went from 200000msec to 1msec.
