VB 7.2.12 on Xubuntu Enter key on Numeric Keypad behaves differently than main Enter Key

Post by mdlueck »

Greetings,

Is it expected VirtualBox 7.2.12 behavior to have the Numeric Keypad enter key behave like space bar or some other key than Enter is being pressed?

For operating system boot menus, "Press Enter to get around the count down delay timer"... I must press the Enter key by the letters of the keyboard, NOT the Enter key on the numeric keypad. Pressing the Enter key on the numeric keypad only disables the boot countdown timer.

The same operating system boot menu booting on the bare metal of the same host system, both enter keys work to alert the menu to stop delaying / begin booting the selected operating system.

Once booted into a guest operating system, I have never noticed continued unusual behavior pressing the Enter key of the numeric keypad.

Is this something by design in VirtualBox, or is it a bug?

I am thankful,
