Sorting Machines?

Post by Jazz1 »

Hi,
How do you sort machines?
I have multiple Machines set up.
The only sort I can find sorts them by name.
I would like to be able to sort them manually. I have tried dragging them to re-order but that just moves them to a new group.
It would be nice to sort manually, or
Sort by most used,

Is there a way?
If so how?

TIA

As I separated my VMs into different groups, I cannot say why dragging the VMs doesn't work in your case.
But inside my groups, I simply drag them up or down (VBox 7.2.8).
So what about defining one (big) group in which you move all your machines, then dragging should work.

Moi aussi ! Mon cursus de la souris est bloqué dans la machine virtuelle. J'essai tout les méthodes, ça ne marche pas.

Dragging used to work.
But for some reason, when I try to drag, it and the nearest machine goes to a new group.
I do have 3 groups already.
My VM is up to date, latest ver.

My experience is that the drag function of VMs within the Manager doesn't function well (as Jazz1 describes).
Staying away of the upper and lower VMs functions better (and has more chance in a bigger group of VMs).
Within a group using the keyboard <Ctrl>+<Up> or +<Down> functions best.
I hope in one of the next versions draging of VMs works fine.
