As a newbie to VBOX-7+ --win 10- host;Linux-Guest-- I found myself hours trying to research (see below { } in part contributed to time factor) how to properly install VBox 7+; only to discover MS Visual C++ Distrib 2019 required prior install... Sadly, YOU TUBE was not helpful as 99.9% of install videos no mention! Found one site that did, so I queried their mention and confirmed by further internet queries. It should not have been that difficult?
{ I am by nature researching first ins- outs of using a software before installing so as to discover any pitfalls as so often happens when technical instructions leave out key moments or even minor}.
Make it easier for newbies by mentioning THIS VITAL IMPORTANT aspect :: in PREFACE or INSTALL sections of Manuals. I did not see any MENTION in any of the Manuals 7.0 or 7.1 about PRE-REQUISITE of MS Visual C++ 2019- PREINSTALLED- before trying INSTALL VBOX???
Also, Need for Computers needing Vtx in bios enabled if exists?? ASSumptions, gets one in trouble quickly!
I have read and reviewed VBOX 6.0 and 7.0 and 7.1 manuals- whereby, 7.0 format easy on eyes font size and style, 7.0 section heading with numbers and linking capability to other sections was helpful. While 7.1 having scroll bar on right of section - quick scroll was nice, font size smaller than 7.0 made visually bit awkward. Linkable table of contents at beginning nice touch, made USER FRIENDLY! Overall preferred 7.0 version of manuals.
I am by nature visual and auditory cued so printing off pdf's of manual was helpful.
